In this movie, the preparatory school student takes a job as an assistant to a blind, the latter is the medically retired Army lieutenant colonel. This movie is a remake of the Italian movie   Profumo di donna. The story of the movie was adapted from the novel II Buio e il miele. The movie casts  Al Pacino and Chris O'Donnell in the mail roles. While Gabrielle Anwar and Philip S. Hoffman played the supporting roles.
