The Royal Mail has released its new festive Christmas stamp designs for the current year 2020, with just a month to go for the arrival of Christmas. The Christmas stamps designs will have the theme as Nativity Scenes. Six special stamps have been released by the postal service for Christmas 2020, with each stamp design telling the story of the Nativity through stained-glass windows. Six churches across England will adorn on their Glass Windows the Royal Mail’s Commemorative Christmas Stamps.
When are Royal Christmas Stamps on Sale?
The Royal Christmas stamps went on sale from Tuesday. The stamps will adorn the six windows from church counties belonging to Leicestershire, Norfolk and Yorkshire. All of the stamps will feature the photo of infant Jesus cradled by the Virgin Mary. Other churches that are featured in the stamp collection include are give below.
- St Andrew's Church, East Lexham, Norfolk
- Church of St James, Hollowell, Northamptonshire
- St Andrew's Church, Coln Rogers, Gloucestershire
- All Saints' Parish Church, Otley, West Yorkshire
- St Columba's Church, Topcliffe, North Yorkshire
How Much Is A 2nd Class Stamp ?
The 2nd Class stamp has the feature of the ‘Adoration of the Magi’ and can be seen on the east window of St Andrew’s Church in East Lexham, Norfolk, the round tower of which is known to be one of the oldest in England, built around 900AD, which costs around Pounds Sterling 2.50.
