Rath Yatra: Odisha cabinet decides to abide by SC directive - Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar, June 18 (IANS) The Odisha cabinet on Thrusday decided to abide by the order of the Supreme Court, which has stayed holding of annual Rath Yatra this year in view of Covid-19.

The cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, decided to inform the Shri Jagannath Temple management committee to implement the directive of the apex court.
The District Magistrates have also been directed to inform temple management committees and other institutions in the districts to implement the directives.
Earlier in the day, the apex court ordered that there will be no Rath Yatra in Puri and in any other part of the state this year.
The annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings was scheduled to be begin on June 23.
