Purnima Vrat January 2020

This year, there are 13 Purnima Vrat, which comes during the full moon day. According to the Hindus, Purnima Vrat has great importance. The Purnima Vrat on January is called the Paush Purnima, where sun and moon confluence each other. The month of Pausha, is said to be the month of the Sun God and full moon, where the full moon is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu.

Purnima Vrat February 2020

The Purnima Vrat in February, the Magha Purnima is celebrated on the evening of full moon day. The devotees will worship Moon God in the month of Magha, a most auspicious, fortunate, and significant month according to the Hindu scriptures, where devotees will have to perform donations and daan-punya activities, observe fast, perform holy bath and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu.

In the month of October, the Ashwin Purnima which is also known as the Sharad Purnima, Kojagari Purnima, and Kuanr Purnima, is observed during the Hindu lunar month, which is celebrated as a harvest festival, and is marked as the end of monsoon. Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped during the night. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vrindawan, Braj, and Nathdwara.
