Puri Jagannath Temple History

This Hindu temple was built in the 12 th century in Puri, Orissa by king  Anantavarman Chodaganga. It is for Lord Jagannath, who is a form of Lord Krishna. The temple is considered as one of Char Dham temples in India which is known for attaining moksha. The temple is made of wood and is replaced every 12 years with exact looking wooden pieces. Puri Jagannath Temple Hyderabad

The Puri Jagannath temple at Hyderabad was completed by 2009 wholly built by the Odia community. It is famous for Lord Jagannath and has other shrines for gods - Shiva, Ganesh, Hanuman and Navagrahas. The temple is made of sandstone giving a red color appearance. The shikhara or the highest peak in the temple is 70 feet high and the most attractive spot.
