Jio partnership with PUBG

PUBG is an online multiplayer battle royal game which was developed and published by PUBG corporation which is a South Korean video game company Bluehole. PUBG cut ties with India on 2nd of September 2020, because PUBG Corp. shares ties with Chinese gaming firm Tencent Games and due to which Pubg was also named among 118 Chinese apps banned by India. But now South Korean owners want to make things back on track because  PUBG has to suffer a huge loss due to the Tencent Partnership break because in India there are more than 175 million downloads. And so the owner and maker of PUBG Corporation is looking for another sponsor, partner in India.

Who will be the Potential Indian Partner to PUBG?

Well this is not confirmed yet but according to some unconfirmed reports, we came to know that Reliance Jio can be one of the most probable potential partners of PUBG in India. It is also rumoured that Reliance Jio is in discussion with PUBG and Reliance Jio can take over the PUBG License to operate in India.

Can Jio be the potential partner to PUBG?

Although this is unconfirmed but there are chances that Jio will become the potential  partner to PUBG because Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani during speaking to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in Feb had himself declared that online gaming would be bigger than most of the entertainment mediums. He said that Gaming will be bigger than music, movies and television shows put together. He also added that there is a huge opportunity for the growth of gaming as the gaming sector is only in its nascent stage.
