Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Tera Raids Guide

Terastallizing is a new feature in Generation 9 by Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, similar to Mega Evolution or Dynamaxing. Furthermore, trainers traveling across Paldea can eventually participate in Tera Raid battles with other players, catching powerful Pokemon with specific Tera Types. This guide will go over everything players need to do to unlock the highest-tier Raid Battles, which are 5 and 6 stars.

First and foremost, aspiring trainers must understand how Tera Raid tiers work. Like in Sword & Shield, each Tera Raid Den is assigned several stars ranging from 1 to 7 to indicate the Pokemon's level. The more leads you have, the better the rewards for defeating the Pokemon.

How To Unlock 5-Star And 6-Star Tera Raids?

To access the 5-star Tera Raid battles, players must complete the game and earn the endgame credits. Players must win the post-game tournament to unlock 6-star Tera Raids. They will then receive a call from Jacq asking them to participate in a number of 5-star raids. Jacq will call again after defeating many, stating that there are incredibly powerful Tera Raids with Black Crystals.

**Please remember that raids must originate in the player's game to count toward the total. Raids joined through online play will not count, but you can invite others to join you in the raids.**

These Black Crystal raids are 6-star raids that are extremely difficult to complete independently. However, they provide the best opportunity to obtain Herba Mystica and other rare items.

Trainers who meet those requirements will gain access to some of the most difficult Tera Raids with stronger Pokemon. These challenges also come with unique rewards like Ability Capsules, Herba Mystica, and Bottle Caps.

Time Limit

Each Tera Raid Battle must be completed within the time limit shown in the upper right corner of the screen. Because wild Terastal Pokemon have extremely high HP, it is best to attempt raids with a group of other players. The raid will fail if the Terastal Pokemon is not defeated before time runs out.

Auto-Revive

When your Pokemon is knocked out during the raid, it will be revived automatically after a short time. However, the cooldown for reviving Pokemon grows in proportion to how many times a Pokemon faints during battle. As a result, try to avoid being knocked out as much as possible so that you can spend the duration of the raid chipping away at the HP of the wild Terastal Pokemon.

Terastallizing

All raid team members can Terastallize their Pokemon anytime during the battle. Bring Terastallizing Pokemon to a Pokemon type that has an advantage over the enemy Terastal Pokemon for a better chance of defeating it.

Supporting Allies (Cheer)

Instead of commanding your Pokemon to perform specific moves, you can use your turn to cheer for your allies. Each type of cheer has a unique set of effects, which are listed below.
