Essential Requirements
One year post Ph. D experience of Teaching and Research in Institution of repute or Industry
Three years after Ph. D or six years of total teaching and research experience in in reputed academic Institute or Research and Development. Labs or relevant Industry
Facilities extended to the faculty members of NIT Jamshedpur: Facilities are extended to faculty members of NIT Jamshedpur as per NIT Act and Statutes as well as decisions of the BOG of the Institute or relevant orders from Ministry of Education, New Delhi.
Period of Probation: One year for Assistant Professor Grade-I (PB-3 with AGP Rs. 8000/- as per 6th CPC) Level-12 in 7th CPC.

Non-Refundable application fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only) for UR/OBC/EWS applicants. Selection Process for NIT Jamshedpur Assistant Professor Recruitment 2021
The minimum qualification with regard to academic qualification and experience for all positions advertised herewith shall be as given for each post. However, institute may decide the minimum academic qualification and experience to short-list the number of candidates to be called for selection procedure.
The list of candidates shortlisted for participation in the selection process such as written test/interview etc. will be displayed on the Institute website only. No separate communication/intimation in this regard shall be made by the Institute.Only shortlisted candidates will be called/intimated for the selection process

Candidates, who wish to apply for more than one post, should apply separately for each post in the prescribed manner and separate application with fee must be deposited for each post.

The Institute has the right to set higher norms than minimum while short-listing, taking into account the specific requirements of the Institute and shall be binding on all the applicants. The decision of the Institute related to all matters pertaining to the recruitment shall be final and binding on the applicants.
The date for determining eligibility of candidates in every respect i.e., qualifications, experience and age limit etc. shall be considered as on the closing date, i.e., the last date of the submission of online application form i.e., 17.09.2021 (5:00 P.M).
Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-armed forces persons as per Govt. of India norms.
In case of any inadvertent error in the process of selection, which may be detected, at any stage, even after the issuance of offer letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify / withdraw / cancel any communication made to the applicants.
Candidates must be in sound health. They must, if selected, be prepared to undergo such medical examination and satisfy such medical authority as the Institute may require.
The appointment of candidates on regular basis shall be governed by New Pension Scheme (NPS).
Application forms, downloaded and submitted offline, would not be accepted. The applicant will be solely responsible for authenticity of the submitted information.

Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating the date of birth. or mark sheet of Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent issued by Central / State Board indicating the date of Birth will be considered in support of their claim of age. Where the date of birth is not available its certificate/mark sheets, issued by concerned Educational Boards, school reading certificate Indicating the date of birth will be considered.
Degree certificate along with mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years as proof of educational qualification claimed. In the absence of a particular Degree certificate, mark sheet of the Degree program will be accepted.
NOC and Experience Certificate(s) from the Head(s) of Organization (s) / Departments for the entire experience claimed, clearly mentioning the duration of employment (date, month & year) indicating the basic pay and consolidated pay. The certificate(s) should also mention the nature of duties performed/experience obtained in the post(s) with duration(s)
Certificate by candidate seeking reservation as OBC (Non-creamy layer) shall be in the prescribed Performa only from the competent authority
Certificate by candidate seeking reservation as SC/ST shall be from the competent authority.
Certificate from persons with disability (PWD) in prescribed Proforma issued by the competent authority to the Person with Disability for being eligible for appointment to the post on the basis of prescribed standards of Medical Fitness
Certificate to claim reservation under EWS category, issued by the competent authority be attached.
Credit Point calculation sheet is to be filled by the applicant for the post applied and to be submitted along with Application Form
