MLB's seventeenth entry, The Show franchise, was released on April 5, 2022. Los Angeles Angels two-way player Shohei Ohtani is featured as the cover star. Takashi Okazaki's unique manga-style art of Shohei Ohtani was the cover art for the M.V.P. and the digital deluxe editions of MLB The Show 22.
