• Qualification: 

• A master degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed, in Concerned/Relevant/Allied subjectsl. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/BC-I (Non-creamy layer)/ BC-II (Non-creamy layer) Candidate of the State, while physically challenged persons from any part of the country will be given relaxation of 5% marks at Master's Degree. But both benefits shall not be admissible to the same candidate.

• A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master's Degree prior t019 September 1991.

• Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted fro ET/SLET/SET:

• Provided that regarding recognition of SLET/SET the provisions of UGC Regulation 2018 shall be applicable.

• Provided further that the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July II, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such

• Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and positions in appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions: 

• The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

• An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

• The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal (UGC "Care'/ SCOPUS)

• The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR]CSIR or any similar agency.

• Applicants who have registered for Ph.D. Degree from the Universities in Bihar during the period of 11.07.2009 till the date of implementation of UGC Regulation, 2009 in the Universities of Bihar and subsequently obtained Ph.D. Degree shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment if they have been awarded

• Ph.D. Degree in compliance with the above 5 conditions mentioned from A to E and certificate regarding fulfilment of conditions has been issued by the Registrar/Dean of the University.

• Salary: They will be paid an Honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per class, with a maximum of Rs. 50000/- in a month. 

• Age: The maximum age for engagement as Guest/Pat-time Teacher shall not be more than 55 years, as on January 1St, 2021.

Selection Process for Lalit Narayan Mithila University Guest/ Part time Teacher Recruitment 2021

• For selection both academic qualifications and performance in the interview shall be considered.

• Educational qualification shall carry 100 marks and interview 15 marks. The distribution of marks for academic achievements is given in

• Conversion of Grade points to Percentage Equivalent will be carried out as per the Conversion Formula laid down by the University concerned

• The merit list will be prepared on the basis of addition of scores of academic qualifications (Full marks -100) and interview (Full marks - 15) i.e., total marks - 115.

• The Selection Committee will prepare a composite merit list of the subjects on the basis of vacancies and 100 points reservation roster of the State Government of Bihar.

• In the event of total marks obtained from educational qualification and interview being the same candidate having higher marks in educational qualifications will be placed higher in the final merit list.

• In the event of candidates having same educational qualification marks, candidate who are elder in age according to the date of birth will be placed higher in the final merit list and in the event of candidates having same date of birth, candidates whose name appears alphabetically first in Devnagiri Script will be placed higher in the final merit list.

Terms and Conditions for Lalit Narayan Mithila University Guest/ Part time Teacher Recruitment 20211

• The current Reservation Policy of the Government of Bihar will strictly be followed category-wise and subject- wise.

• To get the benefit of reservation, claim for it must be made at the appropriate column of the application form, otherwise the benefit of reservation cannot be granted.

• The benefit of reservation is perrnissible only to the residents of Bihar. Age, experience and all other prescribed qualifications will be counted as on 01.01.2021.

• The composition of the Selection Committee will be the same as prescribed under the State Government Memo No. 15/A2-01/2014-925 dated 13.04,2021.

• The engagement will be purely on part-time basis for 1 1 months only, and under no circumstances are linked to regular appointments/absorption and cannot be regularized/absorbed at any stage.

• The above number of requirements in different subjects are provisional and subject to variation. The University reserves the right to change it at any stage.

• The service-engagement can be terminated even prior to the completion of 11 months by the competent authority any time without assigning any reason thereof.

• The selected persons shall not be entitled to any other benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other allowances/benefits available generally to the University Teachers, appointed on regular basis.

• The candidate must not have been convicted by any Court of Law. In case, any information given or declaration made by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate is found to have willfully suppressed any material information relevant to this engagement, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service and suitable action can be taken by the university authority.

• Applications incomplete in any respect or received late will be summarily rejected.

• The competent university authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part thereto, without assigning any reason or giving notice.

• In other relevant residual matters, the conditions mentioned in the Advertisement for Regular Appointment on the Post of Assistant Professor issued by the Bihar State University Service Commission, Patna on 21.09.2020 will apply in selection of guest/Part Time Teachers also.
