Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 1 (IANS) Outrage against state Youth Congress president Shafi Parambil, who flew to Qatar to watch the World Cup, is growing as several party workers languish in the Kerala jails after a series of political protests against the government were led by him.

Shafi Parambil, who is also a three-time legislator has taken off to Qatar to watch the ongoing World Cup, while numerous Youth Congress activists are cooling their heels in jails after being arrested for various protests, which was initiated and led by him.
In the complaints from various district units of the Youth Congress and others, they have asked the party high command to see that Parambil was brought back without any delay as numerous youth activists were in jails.
Parambil, who won from the Palakkad Assembly constituency in the April 2021 Assembly polls was given a tough fight by Metroman E.Sreedharan who finished a close second as the BJP candidate.
