Karmayogi Scheme Objectives
The Karmayogi Scheme programme offers part-time jobs to students at the campus. These part-time jobs provide a base for the students to support their expenditure and become self-dependent. Here is a list of the motives and objectives behind the Scheme.

Karmayogi Scheme Programme Activities
Under the Karmayogi Programme, the following tasks would be assigned to students.
Laboratories: Students may work as an instructor in the labs/workshops for handling the equipment/machinery, its upkeep, maintenance and storage of equipment in Laboratories/Workshops. Senior students may be engaged in practical classes to prepare protocol hand-outs, purchase essential laboratory accessories, and maintain stock registers and other laboratory records.
Library: Students would be indulged in library jobs like cataloguing, replacement of books and journals on shelves, display of books, their repair and binding.
Office: Students here would be assigned office jobs such as preparing statements, compiling and analysing data, and maintaining student and faculty records.
Computer Centre: Students here would engage in Data entry, Data management and Software development jobs.
Hostel/Mess: Under this category, students will be responsible for maintaining Hostel/Mess records.
Assistance to Teachers: Under this category, the Ph. D.students would be assisting the teachers in the departmental activities.
Day Care Centre: The Senior students would handle Daycare activities.
Note: The above-given job titles are illustrative. New jobs/areas might be added based on feedback from the staff and students.
Karmayogi Scheme Application
Students who are interested in the Karmayogi scheme 2021 can submit online application on the official website of Lucknow University.
Karmayogi Scheme Payment Details
The part-time jobs will offer students pay of Rs. 150/hour. The students under the Scheme can work for a maximum of 2 hours a day, and upto 50 days in an academic session. This would also make sure that the student's education is not affected by part-time jobs. The maximum amount paid to students under the Karmayogi Scheme would be Rs. 15,000/-.
Karmayogi Programme Selection Process
The selection process depends on the applications invited by the University. The University would accept applications as and when the University/Institutes/Departments require additional help. Students will be selected based on their interests, expertise and skills.
Restrictions under Karmayogi Scheme Programme
The job time would be before or after the scheduled classes.
Candidates will be selected on the recommendation of the Committee.
The working hours for the part-time job will be equally distributed for two months.
The details of all the working students under the Scheme, including the details of the work, allocated, and the actual working hours will be maintained in the Enrolment register. The concerned faculty/staff would keep the register.
The students' work will be verified by the assigned faculty/staff who would then record the same on the payment voucher.
The records will be maintained by the accounts section, which will be submitted for scrutiny when needed.
