Sonam Kapoor, an actress, has confirmed her first pregnancy. She shared a couple of photos with her husband, Anand Ahuja, on Instagram. It showed her resting on the couch with Anand, holding her baby belly. Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor married in May 2018. She is Anil Kapoor's and Sunita Kapoor's eldest daughter. Sonam has had to debunk pregnancy rumors several times since her wedding. In July of last year, as new rumors appeared, Sonam shared a boomerang video in which she was seen sipping a hot drink. "Hot water bottle and ginger tea for first day of my period..." she captioned the photo. Sonam's most recent film was The Zoya Factor, which was released in 2019. The actor co-starred with Dulquer Salmaan in the film. She later appeared in Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap's AK vs AK, a Netflix film that was released in 2020.

A source close to the Kapoor family, told: "In fact, she is four months pregnant. So, she will deliver mostly in August 2022. She wasn't seen around much in recent times and this was precisely the reason. A lot of friends and relatives had got the whiff of it but she did not confirm with most of them, until today."  The baby is due in the fall, according to Sonam's Instagram post. Anand and Sonam live in London and meet their parents in Delhi and Mumbai on a regular basis. Last year in an interview with Hindustan Times, Anil had said, “Like every parent everywhere, Sunita (my wife) and I miss our kids when they are away, and we worry about them constantly. But we also recognise that we’re fortunate to live in the age of technology that enables us to see them and speak with them whenever we get anxious, and that’s been a huge relief.”
