Jim Bakker is a televangelist from America. The original name of Jim Bakker is James Orsen Bakker. He hosted the TV program The PTL Club with his then-wife, Tammy Faye, from 1974 to 1987. He developed a theme Park in Fort Mill known as Heritage USA. He resigned from the PTL ministry for an allegation. This caused him to conviction, imprisonment, and divorce in the 1980s. Later Bakker remarried and came back to televangelism, after establishing Morningside Church in Blue Eye, Missouri. He established back the PTL ministry.

Jim and Tammy started working at Pat Robertson’s CBN( Christian Broadcasting Network? In Portsmouth, Virginia. He served for the growth of CBN. He hosted a children’s variety show called Come On Over, which cast comic routines with puppets. After the success of the show Come On Over, Bakker became the host of the new prime-time talk show. Another CBN’s flagship program was the 700 Club. In 1972, Bakkers left CBN. Then he joined TBN(Trinity Broadcasting Network) in California. He worked for 8 months and left the network.

After some period after his release, he returned back to his career. In 2003, Bakker started broadcasting The Jim Bakker Show daily at Studio City Cafe in Branson, Missouri. He telecasted this show along with his second wife Lori. This was carried on CTN, Daystar, Folk TV, Grace Network(Canada), Hope TV(Canada), Impact Network, TCT Network, WGN, WHT, The Word Network, Uplift TV, and living networks. Jerry Crawford, who credited Bakker with saving his marriage, had invested 25 million US dollars in a new ministry for Bakker in Blue Eye, Missouri named Morningside in 2008.
