The IRCTC Next Generation E-Ticketing System has been launched by the Indian Railway with a variety of new features and improvised methods of booking a railway ticket. The user can login to IRCTC Next Generation online booking website by following the below steps

Step 1: Browse the IRCTC Website, or type on browser www.irctc.co.in

Step 2: If the user is already registered, then click on login icon of the IRCTC Home page and enter the user id and password and captcha box provided

Step 3: After entering the login id and password and retyping the captcha correctly, press sign in button.

Step 4: A Screen will appear mentioning the next generation e-ticketing website.

Step 5: To book a new ticket, look for “Proceed for Booking Option” and follow the instructions.

How to Register on the IRCTC Next Generation?

Step 1:Browse the IRCTC Website, or type on browser www.irctc.co.in

Step 2: Now press the sign up button for registering with IRCTC or Click the Register link seen on homepage of IRCTC

Step 3: On pressing the sign up button, a form will pop asking for all personal details user name, date of birth, aadhar card number, mobile no. address. All questions marked red are mandatory and has to be answered correctly. The user id and password will be asked which the user has to provide as per the format provided.

Step 4: After filling in all the necessary details, retype the captcha image correctly and press the register button.

Step 5: A Pop-up box will appear asking for confirmation of your mobile number and mail id. If all correct, press the ok button. On pressing the ok button another page to accept all terms and conditions will appear. Press Accept.

Step 6: Go to your mailbox and look for confirmation mail from IRCTC and registration link.

Step 7: Click on the registration link which will again lead to the Login page of irctc. Login with user id and password and book your tickets
