What is EPF? Employee Provident Fund is a part of the salary as a contribution from the employer to the employees. According to EPF, an employee whose pay is more than Rs 15,000 per month at the time of joining, will not be eligible and will be called a non-eligible employee. In contrast, the employees whose salary is less than Rs 15,000 per month must become members of the EPF. Recently in July 2020, The Ministry of Labour & Employment said that EPFO has successfully updated 2.39 lakh Aadhaar numbers, 4.28 lakh mobile numbers, and 5.26 lakh bank accounts in the UAN of its subscribers and still processes. As the Know Your Customer (KYC) data enables its subscribers to avail of the services online. Have you updated the KYC details such as PAN, Aadhar, and Bank account details on the EPFO portal online? How To Update KYC In EPFO?

To update the KYC in the EPF portal, follow the simple steps given below.

  •  Open the EPF online portal and log in to your EPF account using your UAN and password.

  • In the 'Manage' menu, tap on the 'KYC' option from the drop-down menu.

  • Now, fill in the required details such as PAN, Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License (DL), Ration card, Election card, and bank details.

  • Now, tick on the check box in the document stating you want to update the details.

  • Next, enter your document number, name as per the document, including details such as IFSC in case of bank details and expiry date in case of passport and DL.

  • Now, click on the 'Save' button.

  • If you don't want any updation on your details, you can cancel the KYC process by clicking on the 'X' sign marked against the document.

  • Once done, your details will be verified by the EPFO, and if details match, your document is marked as verified.
