What is Ray Tracing?
Ray tracing's superior rendering capability enables for new visual and lighting effects not before available in Fortnite. We've increased ambient occlusion, shadows, reflections, and real-time global illumination with our latest release.
What do you think? When ray tracing is enabled, the screenshots below show how supporting PCs can create convincing reflections and shadows. Nvidia has also created a ray-traced map in Creative to demonstrate the new technology. Check it out with this Island code: 9189-0518-5408.
How To Enable Ray tracing in Fortnite?
NVIDIA DLSS, DLSS enhances performance in addition to ray tracing, allowing you to enjoy ray tracing at faster frame rates. Quality, Balanced, and Performance are the three DLSS settings available in Fortnite. These settings affect the DLSS rendering resolution, allowing you to strike the ideal balance of image quality and frame rate.
NVIDIA Reflex, on the other hand, has the lowest latency in Fortnite. Reflex Low Latency Mode coordinates game engine operations to complete just-in-time for rendering, eliminating the GPU render queue and lowering CPU back strain in GPU intensive situations by integrating directly into Fortnite.
