How To Switch Characters In Dragon Ball Fighterz
The Dragon Ball Fighterz game is inspired by several concepts and other fighting games namely team mechanics and the control scheme are lifted from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Each Player select three characters to form a team from the starting roster of characters and from the Dragon Ball franchise. The character is controlled and switched with one another at any time. All the other three characters on one team must be defeated for a player to win the game. If no team is defeated before the time runs out then the team that has sustained the least damage wins.

Dragon Ball Fighterz includes various features such as Come on Shenron! which allows players to collect the Dragon Balls one by one as the game progresses and a random dragon ball will be then given to a player who successfully performs a light auto combo. By successfully performing a multi-hit combo specific dragon balls can be obtained with the amount of hits determining which ball is given.

If you want to switch and change characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ all you need to do is to follow a few steps i.e.
You have to hold down either L1 or L2. This Holding down L1/ LB process will tag in the character immediately below your current fighter’s health bar and information in the top corner.
L2/ LT would make you switch characters with the one underneath them.
You have to keep this in mind that you’ll need to hold these buttons when you want to switch fighters in and out of battle. If you just tap the button once then that will cause the corresponding character to perform an assist attack.
How To Switch Characters In Dragon Ball Fighterz? - FAQ
If you visit Kame House while in the Intermission it will unlock the ability to switch characters in your party via the pause menu. The select “Party” in the pause menu, you can then select your lead character you fight with and two support characters.
