Karwa Chauth Puja Vidhi

On this day, ladies not only fast but also honour Goddess Parvati. The Goddess is adored on this day because, according to Hindu mythology, she is Akhand Saubhagyavati (the one whose spouse lives a long life). Married women light the diya and dhoop and offer sindoor, fruits, flowers, and sweets to the goddess. They read the vrat katha after that. In the evening, the puja is done. Women see the moon through a sieve after the moonrise, and then their husbands through the same sieve. After then, the husband breaks his wife's fast by providing her with water and sweets.
