Where Is The Great Pottery Throw-Down Filmed?

Filming for The Great Pottery Throw Down takes place in Stoke-on-Longton Trent's village in 2023 at the Gladstone Pottery Museum. The Grade II-listed 18th-century structure has been housing a museum since 1974.

The land, which was initially bought and developed by the Shelley brothers, Michael and Thomas, was later purchased by a family who is assumed to have given the location its current name. Gladstone was chosen as a tribute to the state leader because it is thought that the deal was finalized when William Gladstone was the prime minister.

The city council of Stoke-on-Trent currently oversees the location. According to Stoke-on-Trent Live, the council intends to utilize the location for more forthcoming film and television projects. The Great Pottery Throw Down and the Clarice Cliff biography The Colour Room, featuring Phoebe Dynevor from Bridgerton, was filmed in the exact location. It has also served as the backdrop for Most Haunted, Blue Peter, and Doctor Who over the past few decades.

The museum is said to close from the end of October to the end of March due to seasonal operating hours.

Visitors can view the website from Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. A child's ticket costs £5.40, while adult tickets cost £7.75. Although there are other family-friendly and concession choices, an annual membership is also an option if you live nearby and anticipate frequent trips.

What Time Is The Great Pottery Throw Down On?

The first episode of series 6 will air on Sunday, January 8, at 7.45 pm, according to a confirmation from Channel 4. There will be ten episodes, one of which will air each Sunday.
