Google Shoelace

Google Shoelace, launched in 2019 to help the people connect locally. The Google Shoelace team believes that the social application's defeat was due to the customers concentrating on prioritising their life and work due to the COVID-19 situation. Finally, after deciding to shut down, the company sent out an email to all the app users stating that Shoelace will be shutting down on 12 May. 

Neighbourly

Launched in May 2018, Neighbourly applications lets one explore their neighbourhood with help from local experts. In the same year, Neighbourly was expanded to some cities, but failed to excite the public and recorded a declined usage. Same as Shoelace, Neighbourly announced it is shutting down on 12 May. In their statement, Google said that Neighbourly aimed to connect people and share local information, but it did not add value, and thus it was shut down to concentrate on other Google products.

Hangouts

Hangouts, was announced to be shut down by Google back in 2017. But although the announcement was made earlier, it still exists and has kept undisturbed. But Google plans to transition the existing Hangouts in the G suite user to new Hangouts Chat and Hangout Meet applications by June 2021.

Cloud Print

Google Cloud Print helps users print from any device, from anywhere, to any web-connected printer. Google has shut down the product on 31 December 2020, and the reason to remove this application is still unknown.

Google Hire

Google Hire, which was developed to simplify the hiring process, with a workflow. It was integrated into Google's G Suite consisting of Search, Gmail, Calendar, Docs etc. for medium-sized businesses. This application was planned to be abandoned to shift their focus on using the resources on other Google products.

Google App Maker

Google App Makers is about to leave on 19 January 2021. But this will affect the admins, developers and end-users. It was announced that users will no longer create new App Maker apps but can still edit and deploy existing apps. After January 2021, the App Maker can no longer users can no longer access the application. Also, the data stored in Cloud SQL will remain unchanged.
