Giffgaff Network

Their first product was a prepaid SIM card that offered all basic 2G and 3G mobile phone services on a pay-as-you-go basis at the time of launch. Following the launch, “goodybags” comprising minutes, SMS, and data were introduced. Giffgaff announced in March 2014 that starting in April 2014, it would offer a line of 4G LTE goodybags for purchase. Giffgaff launched the recurring Unlimited Golden Goodybag on October 20, 2020, for £35 per month.

Using their new 5G sim, they also announced future 5G access for customers on all golden goodybags products. On January 7, 2021, Giffgaff launched 5G on its golden goodybag series, using their new 5G SIMs. Existing Giffgaff SIMs will continue to work without 5G access, however, 5G access is planned for these older SIMs. The O2 Network powers Giffgaff's 5G, as it does all of its network offerings. In October 2019, O2 users were given access to their 5G network. Giffgaff has been awarded the Network of the Year for five consecutive years, 2016 to 2021.
