Funny Girl Broadway Cast 2022

Producers announced that Martin Moran, Peter Francis James, Ephie Aardema, Toni DiBuono, and Debra Cardona had joined the Broadway cast of "Funny Girl." "Funny Girl" begins rehearsals on Monday, with a premiere preview on March 26 at the August Wilson Theatre. The revival will premiere on April 24. Sonia Friedman, Scott Landis, and David Babani are the show's producers. Additional creative team members for the show, directed by Michael Mayer, were announced Monday, including Susan Hilferty as costume designer, Kevin Adams as lighting designer, and Brian Ronan as sound designer. They join choreographer Ellenore Scott, tap choreographer Ayodele Casel, and scenic designer David Zinn, who were previously revealed.

Funny Girl Broadway Cast List

Beanie Feldstein, Ramin Karimloo, Jane Lynch, and Jared Grimes play roles in the first Broadway revival of Jule Styne and Bob Merrill's 1964 musical. For the play, Harvey Fierstein reworked the novel, which was originally written by Isobel Lennart.

Elizabeth Greer "Beanie" Feldstein is an actress from the United States who was born on June 24, 1993. She rose to prominence after playing in the comedies Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) and Lady Bird (2017), as well as the coming-of-age comedy Booksmart (2019), the latter of which garnered her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. Jared Grimes is a youthful and energetic artist who is building a name for himself in the worlds of tap and hip-hop/street jazz. He has performed for Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy at the Kennedy Center on multiple occasions, among giants such as Wynton Marsalis, Gregory Hines, Ben Vereen, Jerry Lewis, and Fayard Nicholas. Grimes has danced for artists like as Common, Salt-n-Pepa, Envogue, Busta Rhymes, and the Roots, and has toured with Mariah Carey under Marty Kudelka's choreography.

3) Ramin Karimloo

Ramin Karimloo was born on September 19, 1978, in Tehran, Iran. He is an Iranian-Canadian actor, singer, and composer best known for his work in the West End and Broadway theatres of London. He's played the Phantom and Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny in The Phantom of the Opera, and Jean Valjean, Enjolras, and Marius Pontmercy in Les Misérables, two of the West End's longest-running musicals. He also played Gleb in Anastasia and the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies, a sequel to Phantom of the Opera.

Jane Marie Lynch (born July 14, 1960) is an actress, comedian, and author from the United States. She is best recognised for her role as Sue Sylvester on the Fox musical comedy Glee (2009–2015), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award. Lynch is well known for her parts in Christopher Guest's mockumentary films, including Best in Show (2000), A Mighty Wind (2003), and For Your Consideration (2006).

Moran, who will play Tom Keeney, has appeared in a number of plays, including "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," "Cabaret," and "Wicked." Florenz Ziegfeld will be played by James, who was most recently seen in "Hillary and Clinton." Emma and Mrs. Nadler are played by Aardema, who previously starred in "The Bridges of Madison County."
