#1. Vijay Diwas
Vijay Diwas is a day that is observed to celebrate and honor Indian Armed Forces, particularly the special forces who were put together in ‘Operation: Vijay’ against Pakistan infiltration. The war that happened in 1971 for East pakistan that led to the formation of the country Bangladesh which lasted for 12 days saw India emerging successfully. It is to celebrate the brave soldiers and martyrs that the Vijay Diwas is celebrated.

Bahrain celebrates their national day on two days, 16 and 17 December, to honour the jewel that is this island Kingdom. Bahrain attained independence in 1971 after a long period of British control. Bahrain gained independence by signing a friendship treaty with the United Kingdom, which ended earlier accords between the two countries. Bangladesh Victory Day is more commonly known as Bijoy Dibos and is observed to celebrate the victory of Bangladesh and India over Pakistan in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Though Bangladesh celebrates its Independence Day on March 26, it is on December 16th that the atrocities of this war ended.
