The suspect was involved in a triple homicide as he killed the teen girl's family. Austin Lee Edwards, a 28-year-old cop, was the murderer who killed the teen girl's family. The three bodies were found inside their home and were identified by the police. The demised people were the teen girl's grandparents Mark Winek who was 69, and his wife, Sharie Winek, who was 65 at the time of her death, and the teen girl's mother, Brooke Winek, who was just 38, were killed in the incident.
