Eligibility criteria CMRL Deputy General Manager/ Manager Recruitment 2021
Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Communication (ECE) / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or a combination of any of these disciplines from a Govt. recognized Institute / University approved by AICTE / UGC.
Should be in JAG grade with minimum service of 6 years in Group-A / 10 years in Group-B for DGM post.
Should be in Assistant Officer / Senior Supervisor grade with proven track record of minimum of 7 years of experience in Group-B or minimum of 10 years of experience in Group-C as SSE / SE for Manager post.
Should have experience in Implementing design, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance of Electronic Interlocking Systems for Railway Applications / AFTC based automatic signaling / AFTC or Axlecounter based track detection systems / Train Protection & Warning Systems Technical Tender documents preparation / Tender documents submission / Tender Evaluation / Contract Management in the above areas.
Implementation of design, installation, commissioning of OFC based back-bone communication systems, Wi-Fi networks in open bands, MAN/LAN systems, digital/IP exchanges, PA system, Surveillance system in Railway / Industrial environments, will be an advantage.
Salary: The deputationist shall be entitled to draw pay being drawn in the parent organization. Additionally, deputation allowance and project allowance at 10% of Basic Pay each will be paid. Option to draw pay and allowances as per the parent organization or to draw equivalent cadre IDA pay scale in CMRL with IDA, HRA and Cafeteria Allowances of 20% of Basic Pay.
Age: Age not exceeding 45 years as on date of notification i.e. 25.08.2021 (Age will be relaxed for experienced candidates)

The Chennai Metro Rail is a rapid transit system under construction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Government of Tamil Nadu created a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for implementing the Chennai Metro Rail Project. This SPV named as "Chennai Metro Rail Limited" was incorporated on 3rd December 2007 under the Companies Act. Chennai Metro Rail would be the first metro project in the country that will integrate other public transportation systems. The state and central governments are also working together for the CMRL to takeover the Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) so that the latter will get a new shot of blood with modernised stations, integrated ticketing systems, better facilities for passengers, increased frequency of services taking into consideration passenger demands, and also lead to better maintenance.
