Eligibility criteria CMERI Recruitment 2021

Scientist

Qualification: 

• ME/M Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgical Engineering/ Material Science with B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science

• ME/M. Tech or equivalent in the areas of Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgical Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Additive Manufacturing with BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial / Metallurgical Engineering

• ME/M Tech or equivalent in Mechanical / Computer Science/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical Engineering/ Power Electronics/ Mechatronics with B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical Engineering

Desirable Experience

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation / Translational Research in the areas of Design of Industrial Products/ Digital Manufacturing / IoT based Manufacturing / Additive Manufacturing / Smart Foundry will be given preference. Candidates having their ME/M.Tech Project work in the above areas and relevant Publications in the SCI Journals only will also be given due preference.

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation / Translational Research in the areas of High Temp Materials/ Thermal barrier and /or high temp Coating/ Corrosion/ Tribology will be given preference. Candidates having their ME/M.Tech Project work in the above areas and relevant Publications in the SCI Journals only will also be given due preference

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation / Translational Research in the areas of Industrial Robotics/ Automation & Control/ Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence will be given preference. Candidates having their ME/M.Tech Project work in the above areas and relevant Publications in the SCI Journals only will also be given due preference.

Salary: Level – 11 67,700- 2,08,700, Total Emoluments (approx.): 1,02,096/-

Age: Upper Age Limit not exceeding (as on the last date of online application): 32 years

Senior Scientist

Qualification: 

• ME/M. Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/Aerospace/Ae ronautical Engineering

• PhD in Engineering with PhD work in the area of Turbomachinery only will be considered provided the topic reflects the same. Candidates must be having BE/B. Tech degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical/Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

• ME/M. Tech or equivalent in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Process Engineering/Process Plant Engineering/ Process Design Engineering with BE/ B. Tech in Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering

• ME/M. Tech. or equivalent in Material Science & Engineering / Chemical Engineering with BE/ B. Tech. in Material Science & Engineering / Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences

• M.E./M. Tech or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronics & Control / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation / Advanced Electronic Systems / Power Electronics with BE/ B. Tech in Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Instrumentation Engineering 

Essential Experience

• 03 years’ research/industrial experience after ME/M. Tech or equivalent in the areas of design and development of Industrial Products & Systems /Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems/Test Rigs

• 03 years’ research/industrial experience after ME/M. Tech or equivalent in the areas of design and/ or development of Turbomachinery Component/Systems

• 03 years’ research/industrial experience after ME/M. Tech or equivalent in the areas of experience of working in the areas of value added scaled up chemical production plant/gas generation/ separation plant

• 03 years’ research/industrial experience after ME/M. Tech or equivalent in the areas of bioenergy and / or fuel production

• 03 years’ research/industrial experience after ME/M. Tech/MS in the areas of Industrial Robotics/ Automation & Control/ Inverter Technologies / Power Electronics & Machine Drives

Desirable Experience

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation /Applied Technology / Translational Research in design and development of Industrial Products& Systems /Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems/Test Rigs with relevant Publication in SCI Journals only will be given preference.

• Working knowledge of relevant commercial software like Ansys Fluent, CFX, ICEM-CFD etc. The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation /Applied Technology / Translational Research in Turbomachinery Component/Systems with relevant Publication in SCI Journals only will be given preference.

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation /Applied Technology / Translational Research in the areas of Hydrogen/Methane/ Methanol or other value added gas generation/separation pilot plant and / or value added scaled up chemical production plant with relevant Publication in SCI Journals only will be given preference.

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation /Applied Technology / Translational Research in the novel areas of bioenergy/fuel conversion and related catalyst designing with relevant Publication in SCI Journals only will be given preference.

• The candidates having experience in Product Development / Technology Innovation /Applied Technology / Translational Research in the areas of Industrial Robotics/ Automation & Control/ Inverter Technologies / Power Electronics & Machine Drives with relevant Publication in SCI Journals only will be given preference

Salary: Level – 12 78,800- 2,09,200, Total Emoluments (approx.): 1,18,080/-

Age: Upper Age Limit not exceeding (as on the last date of online application): 37 years

Application fee for CMERI Recruitment 2021

• A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100/- (one Hundred) only wherever applicable may be deposited online through State Bank of India (SBI) Collect website, the link of which is provided on the Institute website and printed copy of e-receipt of the same must be enclosed with the application.

• The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Women/CSIR Employees/Candidates otherwise eligible but residing abroad are exempted from submission of application fee. Fee must be paid within the last date of online application i.e. 20.09.2021.

Selection Process for CMERI Recruitment 2021

• The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting / guest faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for short listing the candidates for interview

• Mere fulfillment of educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.

• The duly constituted screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates.

• The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experience in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported with documents. Completion of Ph.D degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification

• In the event of number of applications being large, CSIR-CMERI may adopt short listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by any or more of the following methods:

• On the basis of higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

• In the basis of more experience in the relevant field than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

• By holding a written test.

• Any other methodology as deemed fit by Screening Committee.

General Information and Conditions for CMERI Recruitment 2021

• These posts carry usual allowance i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the Central Government employees and as made applicable to CSIR.

• Council employees are also eligible for accommodation of their entitled type as per CSIR allotment rules depending on availability in which case HRA will not be admissible.

• In addition to the emoluments indicated against posts, benefits such as reimbursements of Medical Expenses, Leave Travel Concession and House Building Advance are available as per rules of CSIR.

• Scientists in CSIR are also permitted to undertake consultancy and sponsored R&D project activities.

• These activities give them scope to earn consultancy fee and honorarium as per guidelines governing these activities. Opportunities also arise for foreign deputations for training/presentation of papers/specific assignments etc.

• CSIR provide excellent opportunities to deserving candidates for career advancement under Assessment Promotion scheme for Scientists.

• The Hard copy of application should be accompanied by self attested copies of all certificates of the relevant educational qualification, experience, etc. The prescribed qualification should have been obtained through recognized Universities / Institutions etc.

• Incomplete applications / applications received but not accompanied with the required certificates / documents are liable to be rejected.

How to Apply for CMERI Recruitment 2021

• Eligible candidates are required to apply ONLINE through our website http://www.cmeri.res.in. No other mode of application will be considered.

• Candidates are advised to go through the instructions for online filling of the application carefully

• Candidates are required to fill up and complete all the columns of the online application form without skipping any field. In case a candidate does not wish to fill up a particular column, he / she should mention ‘Nil’ against that field.

• Online Application will be available on CSIR-CMERI website www.cmeri.res.in. (Closes on 20.09.2021 at 05.00 p.m.)

• It is mandatory to take the print out of the successfully submitted online application form, sign the same and attach the self attested mandatory document The print out of the application along with the relevant documents must reach CSIR-CMERI on or before 30.09.2021.

• Candidates should keep a copy of the application print-out and payment details, if any, for their record. Printout of Application and payment details will not be available after 05.00 p.m. on the last date of online Application i.e. 20.09.2021

• The print out of the successfully submitted online Application duly signed must be accompanied by self attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, education qualifications, experience and caste certificate, if applicable, (as mentioned in Sl No 6 below) together with E-RECEIPT of the Application fees, (if applicable) should be sent in an envelope superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF (Post CodeAdvertisement No. 03/2021’ by post to the address given below on or before 30.09.2021, separately for each post code, in case a candidate applies for multiple post codes
