As Time Goes By 

As Time Goes By is a British romantic sitcoms that started its first telecast on 12th January 1992, and ended on 14th December 2005. The genre of the series is romantic comedy. Where Is The Cast Of As Time Goes By? 

Judi Dench (Jean Hardcastle)

Judi played the lead character Jean, where she is unexpectedly bumped into her old former lover after 38 years. The iconic actress already boasted outstanding credits in film and TV and received an OBE and DBE. However, when she was famous and popular for her role in As Time Goes By, her acting career continued to soar to impressive heights after the show ended. When she starred in the series, Judi was awarded an Oscar for her role as Queen Elizabeth in Shakespeare in Love. Judi is now she is  86years old. She has often appeared in several James Bond films and worked alongside an acclaimed cast in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  Although, because of her career, she was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won ten BAFTAs also six Lawrence Olivier Awards. Recently, she was reported to lose sight after being diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration; Dench has vowed to continue working.

Geoffrey Palmer (Lionel Hardcastle) 

Geoffrey appeared in many sitcoms and was cast as Lionel in As Time Goes By. However, his character lost touch with Jean when he was sent as an army officer to Korea. Thirty-eight years later, Lionel returned to England to write his memoirs when he chances across an encounter with his lost love. Judi and Geoffrey's on-screen connection was gripping. They also starred together in James Bond's Tomorrow Never Dies as Mrs. Brown. He continued to work in the television and film industry up until 2014. But sadly, in November 2020, the news was revealed that Geoffrey died peacefully at 93. 

"When you acted with him, you’d just feel very safe. Geoffers was so sure on comedy that you could be pretty secure in knowing he would get you through it and make it funny. I certainly couldn’t have done As Time Goes By with anyone else."

She has made some appearances in television shows since As Time Goes By, but she doesn't hold as many acting credits as her co-stars. Philip had enjoyed some brief television appearances, including for Coronation Street. He initially plays Lionel's publisher before he strikes up a romance and eventually marries Jean's daughter, Judith. His on-screen wife, Philip, has also starred in Footballers' Wives. Jenny played Sandy, and he is a  best friend of Judith and Jean's receptionist. The actor starred in the series until 2002 and returned for the Reunion in 2005. It also appeared in The Bill and Doctors and several other TV series appearances.
