Bugatti La Voiture Noire
Bugatti made a one-off car named La Voiture Noire as a tribute to the iconic Type 57 SC Atlantic, a car designed by Jean Bugatti, the eldest son of founder Ettore Bugatti. To get started, the Type 57 is probably the world's most coveted classic car today. Only three of the four which were each built are accounted for. During World War II, the fourth Type 57 was lost and could be valued at well over $100 million if found. Nevertheless, La Voiture Noire is based on the Bugatti Chiron. While most cars lose the flowing nature of the original Type 57, there are still subtle hints, such as the dorsal fin running along with the bonnet and the roof.
To add to that, a motor beast powers the Noire, as Bugatti is well known for. The quad-turbo W-16 engine is capable of churning up to 1,500 PS and 1,180 pound-foot twisting forces. This gives the car a super speed of almost 261 mph, and a mere 2.5 seconds 0-60 mph time. The Bugatti La Voiture Noire sold $18.68 million in a skyscraper that translates roughly into Rs 140 crore.
