## What Is BODMAS Rule In Math?

BODMAS Rule is something that helps in simplified calculations of Mathematical problems. It is usually at the primary and high school level that the BODMAS Rule is taught to us, but the use of the BODMAS Rule is not restricted to school life. We might all be familiar with what BODMAS in Maths is and even what the full form of BODMAS is but if that is not the case. We have here BODMAS meaning that will enlighten you with what is BODMAS rule in Math and the full form of BODMAS in Mathematics. To help further simplify the rule of BODMAS we have also collected a few BODMAS examples, especially BODMAS questions for class 5 and class 8.

## Full Form Of BODMAS In Mathematics

BODMAS is an acronym that was devised to make it easy for the students to remember the BODMAS formula. Remembering the BODMAS full form is the first step in the BODMAS Rule as if you have the full form of BODMAS at the tip of your fingers Mathematical calculations become all the more simpler. Given below is the Full Form Of BODMAS In Mathematics

B - Brackets

O - Order/ Of

D - Division

M - Multiplication

S - Subtraction

## BODMAS Formula

An arithmetic equation has both operators and numbers, and there should be an order to begin. The BODMAS Rule requires the students to follow a particular order while doing mathematical calculations and it is to remember this order with ease that the abbreviation BODMAS was created. BODMAS Formula, though often called the rule of BODMAS or the BODMAS Rule, begins with B - Brackets wherein you begin a sum by solving the equation between the brackets.

The next section of the BODMAS rule is O. There has been a few confusions regarding what this O might be in the BODMAS full form. There are a few who state that the O is Of in BODMAS while others state that the O is Order. Order here in BODMAS rule simply means square roots or square numbers. This would mean that once you complete the equations in brackets the next step in the BODMAS Calculator would be to calculate square roots and squared numbers.

The next letter in the full form of BODMAS in Mathematics is D - Division which would mean that you complete the divisional operations in the arithmetic equation.

The next letter BODMAS full form M - Multiplication requires us to complete the multiplication operations in the equation.

The next two letters A and S - Addition and Subtraction requires us to complete the addition and subtraction operations in the equation.

## BODMAS Full Form With Example
