Bachelor Band
The Bachelors is a well-known music group from Dublin, Ireland. Conleth (Con) Cluskey (born 18 November 1941), Declan (Dec) Cluskey (born 23 December 1942), and John Stokes (Sean James Stokes) were the group's original members (born 13 August 1940). In 1957, they created their first band, "The Harmonichords" (also known as "The Harmony Chords"), a classically styled instrumental harmonica performance. Their biggest song was "Diane," which reached number one in the United Kingdom and number ten in the United States in 1964; they continued to chart with new records until 1967 and kept the original group on the cabaret circuit until a messy split between Stokes and the Cluskys in 1984.
