Arthur Characters All Grown Up
The final episode of the Arthur series has finally aired. The sweet bespectacled aardvark and his companions had traveled a long way, and it was a bittersweet time for fans. When PBS revealed that the 25th season would be the final one, many people were devastated. However, there was a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel, and it was well worth the wait. "Blabbermouth/All Grown Up," the final episode of Arthur, featured Arthur, D.W., Francine, and the rest of the crew as adults. Adults, yes. Sure, it's difficult to say goodbye, but what a fitting manner to do so.

Arthur Series Finale Reveals The Kids All Grown Up
In this episode, Arthur is sitting at a table at the Sugar Bowl, 20 years later, with long floppy hair if you can believe it, getting ready to show his buddies the graphic novel he's written. And it's about them in that comic novel. The process of maturation. In fact, Chapter One is titled "How I Got My First Pair of Glasses," a reference to Arthur's first episode, "Arthur's Eyes; Francine's Bad Hair Day," which aired in 1996. It appears that the entire series was based on Arthur's graphic novel. D.W., Arthur's younger sister, is a traffic cop, Buster Baxter is a schoolteacher, Binky is a weatherman, Francine has a sneaker store, and Muffy Crosswire is running for mayor.

Arthur Characters As Adults

A lot has changed for Arthur, who is now a graphic novelist with hair. He exposes his memoir/graphic novel in the season finale, which opens with the same premise as the first episode of Arthur - how he obtained his glasses!

Arthur's BFF is now an English teacher who looks and sounds pretty much the same. Arthur's younger sister Kate is also revealed to be one of his pupils!

3. Francine
Francine has gone up to become a shoe designer after cutting her characteristic bob — get it? She's got a new appearance, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's about accepting who she really is on the inside, if you catch my meaning.

4. Muffy
Muffy is a politician from Elwood City who is running for mayor. I'm a little disappointed she didn't go on to manage a band as she did in "Arthur – It's Only Rock 'n' Roll," where she handled the Backstreet Boys.

5. Binky
Binky, Arthur's occasional buddy, and occasional antagonist have gone on to become a news anchor, giving Arthur's glasses game a run for its money.

6. George
George, Elwood City's bashful boy, now owns The Sugar Bowl dessert parlor. Hopefully, he and Wally will perform live there on occasion.
