After avoiding social media for weeks, Gracie Piscopo issued a statement on her boyfriend, Andre Rebelo's, charge on Wednesday (December 7, 2022).

As reported by the Daily Mail, Gracie wrote in an Instagram Story: "I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding for my absence. For the past two weeks, I have been in a complete state of shock and utter disbelief, and I am deeply affected by the events that have unfolded. I am grateful for everyone who has reached out and sent love and support. This has been an extremely difficult time and my focus right now is the wellbeing of my son. Thank you to everyone for also understanding and respecting the need for privacy. Romeo and I will get through this."

Colleen Rebelo, Andre's mother, was discovered dead in her home in Bicton, Perth, in May 2020. According to 7News, Rebelo, 26, has been charged with his mother's alleged murder and five counts of forging a document with intent to defraud.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is still held in custody. On December 21, 2022, he is scheduled to appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates' Court. Rebelo, who has stated that he is a cryptocurrency dealer, is scheduled to stand trial in the Western Australian District Court next year.
