Biliran (Anas)

Mount Biliran is an active complex volcano in the Philippines' island province of Biliran. The island was created by a volcanic eruption.

Cabalian - Southern Leyte

Cabalian Volcano is an active stratovolcano in the Philippines that may be found in the province of Southern Leyte (Region VIII).

Volcanic activity

Cabalian is classified by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) as active with solfataric activity. Radiocarbon dating on a pyroclastic flow deposit from the volcano estimated that the last eruption was in 1820 +/- 30 years.

Kanlaon - Negros Oriental

Kanlaon, also known as Mount Kanlaon and Kanlaon Volcano (Hiligaynon: Bolkang Kanglaon; Cebuano: Bolkang Kanglaon; Filipino: Bulkang Kanlaon), is an active stratovolcano on the Philippine island of Negros, as well as the highest point in the Visayas, at 2,465 metres (8,087 feet) above sea level. Mount Kanlaon is the world's 42nd tallest island mountain.

Volcanic Activity

Due to aberrant volcanic activity since March 9, 2020, PHIVOLCS elevated the volcano's warning status from 0 to 1. Since then, a total of 80 volcanic earthquakes have been tracked. The Kanlaon volcano began to exhibit indicators of increased activity on June 21, 2020. The Kanlaon volcano resumed erupting on June 22, 2020, with a series of tectonic earthquakes of M3.2 to M4.7. For 72 hours (from June 21, 8 a.m. to June 24, 8 a.m.), a total of 278 earthquakes were recorded, probably due to magmatic activity beneath the volcano.
