Destiny 2 is an action-based first-person shooter multiplayer video game developed by Bungie. As it is a multiplayer game, the players wanted it to support cross play. Destiny 2 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox X|S Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Google Stadia. It was first released in 2017 as a Pay-to-Play game. Then it was re-released in 2019 for PC as a Free-to-Play game with purchasable content. In November 2019, it was made available for Stadia and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in November 2020.
Destiny 2 Crossplay Voice Chat Not Working
Players can now use the Cross Play support in Destiny 2. The feature went live on August 24. Unfortunately, Destiny 2 had issues with the new update. Many functions found to have issues and are under consideration for a fix including the voice chat feature. Voice chat within the same platform found to be working fine. But, players teaming up cross-platform are unable to use the voice chat. They are unable to hear each other. Xbox players will hear anyone even if their chat settings are set to just friends and muting a player in Fireteam chat will not solve the issue.

Bungie said that after enabling the platform setting Others could communicate voice, text, or invites. To make the voice chat work players need to restart the client. The issue is still under investigation. So, soon a solution will come out. Till then you can restart the client for voice chat to crossplay. You can use Discord if there is an issue.
